There is always room for one more at the table. For some of us, being in that room is one plane ticket away. For others it is a plane ticket and an ocean.
So we are raising a fund quietly, among ourselves. Here is what we are committing to: we will try to cover about half of the airfare, roughly $500 USD, for any missionary who needs it to be there. No cap on how many. No set number of spots.
Who receives help stays between that person and the committee. It is never published, never announced, and never mentioned at the reunion.
And nothing is charged to attend. The reunion is free, the temple is free, the dinner is free. The fund exists for one reason only: to close the distance.
En la mesa siempre cabe uno más. A algunos nos separa un pasaje de avión de estar en esa sala. A otros, un pasaje y un océano.
Por eso estamos juntando un fondo, en privado, entre nosotros mismos. Este es nuestro compromiso: vamos a tratar de cubrir alrededor de la mitad del pasaje, unos $500 dólares, para cualquier misionero que lo necesite para llegar. Sin límite de cupos. Sin un número fijo de beneficiados.

Y no se cobra nada por asistir. La reunión es gratis, el templo es gratis, la cena es gratis. El fondo existe por una sola razón: acortar la distancia.
Group fares. A travel agent is putting together group rates out of several countries. A group rate needs at least ten people flying from the same country, so tell us early where you would be coming from.
Passports and visas. These are each person’s own responsibility and they take months. If yours needs renewing, start now.
Tarifas grupales. Una agente de viajes está armando tarifas grupales desde varios países. Para una tarifa grupal se necesitan al menos diez personas volando desde un mismo país, así que cuéntanos pronto desde dónde vendrías.

Served in the mission? Create your account. That is the same thing as getting on the list — there is no separate signup.
Your account is how you get a temple ticket, the reunion updates, and the way back to everyone else. Behind the login are the missionary directory, mission photos, and the areas we served.
We approve each person by hand, because this is our group and not a public list. You get an email when you sign up, and another the moment you are approved.
